Desired Candidate Profile: Candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills on Network and Security. Ability to articulate problem and translate into the analysis, work on RCA.
4 – 5 years large-scale Data Center and NOC experience with a proven track record of responding to Network and Security incidents
3 – 5 years experience directly supporting local area networks and wide area networks running on Cisco hardware. In-depth VPN and ISP experience.
2 – 3 years of exp on managing firewall, IDS and security devices on large organization.
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Engg Computer Science or equivalent experience or combination of related education and experience.
- Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA/CCNP) certification or equivalent experience required.
-Juniper Netscreen Certified (JNCIA)
-MCSE Certified
Knowledge/Skills:
- WAN, ISP, VPN, and LAN “hands-on” networking experience in a global production environment.
- -Ability to configure and troubleshoot layer 2 and Layer 3 network devices (Switches and Router), Firewall & BigIP
- Ability to work on IDS and understanding of scan tools, attacks and virtus.
- Ability to work on HP Openview, Netcool, cisco works and Site Scope.
- Ability to analyze the network traffic, experience on Network analyzing Products and tools.
- Knowledge of ITIL or other Incident Management processes preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP.
- Experience with complex ticketing and incident/request tracking systems.
- Strong analytical problem solving skills.
- Should be flexible to work in 24×7 mode.
- Strong technical knowledge of client/server and Internet concepts and techniques.
- Highly motivated – self-starter.
- Strong oral and written technical and interpersonal communication skills including sensitivity to user community and the importance of maintaining a positive vendor relationship.
