Job Descriptiion : Responsibilities:
Candidates for this post will require excellent organizational skills, a methodical approach to tasks and an attention to detail. An ability to work to tight deadlines is an essential requirement.
Main responsibilities include:
• Taking delivery of software and sources from developers
• Storing software sources within the configuration library
• Creating software builds for testing
• Preparing software release documentation
• Delivering acceptance tested software to NCR’s software distribution centre
• Suggesting and contributing to configuration process improvements
• Development of tools to support the configuration management process
• Tracking and maintaining shipment of early software and software used for problem investigation
Key area of responsibility is the configuration control of all the components used by Engineering and released as products or used to enable certification of products. The software produced needs to be tracked and maintained for deployment across NCR’s range of ATMs and used in control deployment, released products or problem investigation.
Knowledge of software configuration management is preferred and preparing release candidates using NCR’s Aggregate Builder will be a distinct advantage.
General Trouble shooting abilities are required for validation of test builds generated for users of the components and products.
Working knowledge of change management tools such as MKS Source Integrity and defect tracking system GRIT will be an advantage.
